Grudges

A toxin that takes over the body and influences your mood on a daily basis. It grows into a cancer in your heart until it has to be released into either forgiveness or more fury.

I have seen the effect that it had on myself as well as others and the difficulty it is to stay hidden. After months or years of festering it will come out eventually. Holding onto the hurt will only increase the pain inside.

Once you let go and allow the pain to heal in the form of forgiveness, no matter the hurt, you will thrive. The weight of the trauma will lift and you can start to move on from the emotional burden.

From my experence, once I let go and allowed myself to express the pain and forgive, my life transformed. I felt light as a feather and reborn in a way with a new found perspective.

It is not an easy feat and takes time to reach the point of letting go. Little steps towards confronting and working though it will eventually lead to forgiveness ot at least releasing the emotional barrier it holds on you.

The best start is to see the other person or persons perspective instead of only your own and the reasons behind their actions. Another is to seperate yourself from that person and allow emotional healing to take place before you can confront the situation and take steps towards forgiveness.

” Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.” – Ann Landers
