Trying to Find A Hobby

I realized that I don’t have a hobby.

It’s crazy to think I have no interests, which is probably why I feel unfulfilled at times. I didn’t realize how important having a hobby was until I couldn’t explain any interests or hobbies I have outside of sleeping and scrolling on Tik Tok. My therapist told me I could better understand myself or get out of the rut I’m in if I have something I enjoy.

You may be confused considering I have a blog and that is a hobby but I am rarely on here enough for me to consider it a hobby. I used to post much more often and read all the time but last year I fell off. I would go to local coffee shops and libraries and write and read while sipping coffee. Now that we’re in quarantine I can no longer go to Barnes and Noble to relax and enjoy. As a result I stopping blogging and reading and stayed home in bed. So naturally I became depressed and now have a therapist that nags me lol.

Seriously though, it made me realize how important hobbies and interests are to add meaning to our lives. It gives us an escape or outlet to forget about whatever else is going on in life. This is very important, especially during these historical times we live in.

I will be making more of an effort to post on here and also reading more to hopefully get back into my hobbies and maybe discovering new ones. I hope you have a hobby or discover one to add just a little more joy to your life. Be safe and remember to put yourself first.

Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life.
